Bosch Performance motor - The Motor for Tourers and Explorers

If you see yourself as (primarily) a touring riders having days out in the countryside, we recommend a bike like this with the Bosch Performance Line motor. It has a huge amount of power for hills and unpaved terrain, but isn't as hungry for your battery power as the top-power Bosch Performance CX motor (which is what you'd need for proper, sporty mountain biking).  

With this motor, you can climb any hill, carry luggage, and still head out for miles and miles of assisted riding. You will need to change gear regularly to get the most out of the motor, but the Shimano 10-speed gearing on this makes that process extremely easy.  

Balance between sportiness and touring ability

If you're someone who gets a kick out of launching away and quickly getting up to speed, this bike will fulfil that need. The sporty riding position will get the maximum power out of your legs so you can crank up the power and maintain your speed wherever you're riding. 

At the same time, the slightly swept back handlebars, the contoured saddle, tall front end of the bike, wide tyres, and suspension forks all combine to make this as comfortable as possible. It really strikes the balance between sport and comfort.
