How to Check Your Balance Online
The easiest and fastest way to check your Vanilla Prepaid balance is online. Follow these steps:
- Go to vanillaprepaid.com in your browser
- Click on "Check Balance" or "Sign In"
- Enter your 16-digit card number from the front of your card
- Enter the expiry date (MM/YY) and the 3-digit CVV from the back
- Your current balance and recent transactions will appear immediately
Check Balance by Phone
Call the customer service number printed on the back of your Vanilla Prepaid card. The automated system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need your card number ready when you call.

Check Balance at a Store
You can check your remaining balance at any store that accepts Visa gift cards by asking the cashier to run a balance inquiry. This is a free service at most major retailers.
Check Balance via Mobile App
Download the official Vanilla Gift app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After registering your card in the app, you can view your balance, transaction history, and manage your card from your smartphone.
What Information Do You Need?
- Card number — 16 digits on the front of the card

Why Is My Balance Lower Than Expected?
If your balance appears lower than you expected, check your recent transaction history online. Common reasons include a pending transaction that has not yet fully processed, a partial authorization hold placed by a merchant, or an inactivity fee if the card has not been used for an extended period.
